Cross platform GUI libraries

wxWidgets

http://www.wxwidgets.org/

A very richly-featured cross-platform toolkit. Free and Open Source. The emphasis is on portability, so some of the most modern C++ language features are not used.

"wxWidgets Licence" (LGPL with additional permissions).

Qt

QT 4

A commercially developed cross-platform toolkit that is free for use in Open Source projects. More polished than wxWidgets but not as fully-featured.

LGPL 2.1.

FLTK

FLTK

Thinner (more lightweight) than wxWidgets or QT, and not as highly polished, but not to be overlooked.

LGPL 2.

Ultimate++

Ultimate++

Another interesting-looking toolkit, which uses advanced features of C++ to achieve a compact coding style.

BSD licence.

Also of interest...

poco

Poco

Poco is not a GUI toolkit, but does provide a high-level C++ library containing many useful tools – threading, networking, XML, etc..

Boost licence.
